Brightwater’s Steven Sanders-Myers Awarded HomeAid Atlanta 2019 Volunteer of the Year

Members of Atlanta’s home building community gathered at the Omni Hotel at the Battery on January 15 for the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and HomeAid Atlanta Annual Installation and Awards Ceremony.  HomeAid Atlanta, announced its 2019 award winners in three categories—Volunteer of the Year, Builder of the Year, and Trade Partner of the year. The winners gave selflessly of their time, resources, and expertise in 2019 in support of HomeAid Atlanta’s work.

Steven Sanders-Myers of Brightwater Homes was awarded the HomeAid Atlanta 2019 Volunteer of the Year. This award is presented for outstanding service in support of HomeAid. Sanders-Myers led four HomeAid Care Days in 2019, volunteering with fellow Brightwater Homes employees and members of Resonate Church Atlanta. Thanks to his participation, nearly $25,000 was saved for nonprofits providing housing and services for Atlanta’s homeless population. “I believe that all people are my neighbors and I strive to treat everyone that way,” said Sanders-Myers after a 2019 Care Day. “God has given me knowledge and abilities to build houses, and that is one of the most effective ways that I can help those in need.”
